About Villa Bunga Wangi
Villa Bunga Wangi or House Of Fragrant Flowers is a sprawling, 1,500-square meter vacation residence that showcases – traditional architecture and design as well as classic and vintage luxury. Built as an organic part of Canggu’s famed rice terraces, the villa’s lush tropical outdoors – excellently landscaped by renowned Made Wijaya – follows the terrain’s downward slope towards the Pangi River. The villa’s indoors and interiors exude a kind of grandeur reminiscent of ancestral, inter-generational estates owned by the locality’s prominent and well-to-do families. With the alluring beauty of its surroundings, the richness of its tasteful appointments, its sense of heritage and air of nostalgia, Villa Bunga Wangi is truly the perfect setting for intimate, live-in and destination gatherings to celebrate the most momentous events and occasions.
Outdoor And Pool Area
Just like an idyllic forest, the expansive garden’s well-kept lawns, stone pathways, clumps of plants, groves of trees as well as flights of steps all lead to a clearing that dramatically reveals the 15-meter bean-shaped infinity pool formed with green Javanese stone. Dive into its cool, crystal-clear, inviting waters and do your routine laps, wade unmindfully, play splashy games or simply linger by the pool’s edge and contemplate as you look out to the running river. From the water, you can choose to lie on one of the cushioned, wooden pool beds partially covered by large, square umbrellas, or to lounge on soft mattresses and big pillows under the shade of the poolside bale.
The Living Area
From the pool deck, a flight of steps and a stone pathway guides you towards the breezy, spacious, high-ceilinged main pavilion. At the center is the living area with its cushioned, wooden couches and chairs. Here, you can all hang around as you all enjoy moments of family or friendly bonding. At the side of the pavilion is the dining area. On the wooden table that seats eight, you can sample authentic local cuisine as well as gourmet dishes freshly cooked by the in-house chef at the fully-equipped kitchen behind the living area. State-of-the-art audio-visual equipment is also installed in a separate pavilion where you can all catch or watch, once again, your favorite TV shows and movies. This media room can also serve as an extra bedroom with its canopied bed high up on the pavilion’s loft or mezzanine.
The villa has three bedrooms that all open out to fully-furnished covered terraces. Here, you can take a nap or spend some alone time in the early afternoons or wind down late in the evening. All bedrooms have canopied king-sized beds as well as dedicated bathrooms with large bathtubs and views of the garden.
Staff And Services
In addition to the personal chef, a pool attendant, housekeepers, gardeners and security personnel make up the villa’s staff. A babysitter, a laundry helper and a spa therapist are on call. Their services, however, will be charged separately.
