About Villa East Indies
If you want to experience authentic Balinese living and immerse yourself in the culture of Indonesia, Villa East Indies is the ideal vacation residence for you. The sprawling 4,400-square-meter property has a lush tropical garden and two separate structures with interiors that showcase masterfully-crafted antique decor and period luxury – living up to its name and genuinely representing the traditional grandeur that characterize its geographic location. Built amidst the legendary rice terraces of Canggu, Villa East Indies, with its nostalgic, old-world charm, can rightfully be considered as a true heritage site.
Outdoor And Pool Area
At the center of the property’s expansive and well-kept lawn is the 23-meter, bean-shaped swimming pool. Dive into its alluring, crystal-clear waters for your routine laps, a cool dip or a playful splash. For a breather and a tan, you can lazily lounge under the trees on the cushioned, wooden pool beds or semi-circular, rattan chairs on the wooden pool deck alongside the swimming pool.
The Living Area
From the poolside wooden deck, a flight of steps leads to the villa’s semi-open and high-ceilinged main pavilion. The focal point of this airy, bright and spacious building is the living area with its long and large, wooden and cushioned couch and chairs. Here, you can all assemble for some amusing sharing and storytelling. On one side of the pavilion is the dining area. On the antique, solid wood dining table that can accommodate six, you can all feast on appetizing local cuisine as well as international favorites concocted by the in-house chef at the villa’s fully-equipped modern kitchen. Just behind the dining area is a bar where you can also converge for cocktails and after-dinner drinks. Additional seating is provided around an outdoor dining table which can also double as a breakfast area. Living and dining areas are also set up at the ground level of the villa’s guest pavilion with an antique Chinese opium bed as its centerpiece. At selected spots throughout the villa are sitting areas appointed with comfortable, antique furnishings – at the villa’s entrance, alfresco on both sides of the main pavilion, and under the covered terrace of the guest pavilion. Here, you can gather as smaller groups or spend some me time.
The villa has a total of five bedrooms. Three of these are master suites housed at the main pavilion. The main master suite is at the upper level and has its very own dining nook and pantry. Two other master suites are on the lower level of the pavilion. Both open out to the villa’s gym. Equipped with cardio machines, you can, right here, catch up on exercise you may have missed out on. All master suites have canopied, queen-sized beds and dedicated bathrooms. Two other bedrooms are located at the guest pavilion.
Staff And Services
Assigned to attend to your every need and request is the villa’s staff composed of a chef, a driver, a gardener, housekeepers and security personnel. A babysitter, a laundry helper and a spa therapist are on call. Their services, however, come with a separate charge.
