About Villa Hansa
Villa Hansa is a cluster of about eight pavilions featuring traditional Javanese architecture – with its conspicuous Joglo style roofs and Gladak houses – and design. Interiors are appointed with predominantly antique, weathered, intricate wood furnishings and fixtures with a number of classic European pieces. Amenities are essentially of hotel and resort quality – to ensure each and every guest’s pure pleasure and indulgence. Erected around Canggu’s famed rice terraces, Villa Hansa extends to you an exotic escape with a truly ancestral and peaceful atmosphere.
Outdoor And Pool Area
Parallel to the façade of the villa’s main Joglo pavilion is the 18-meter swimming pool. Jump into its mesmerizing, glassy waters for some unmindful wading, or for some splashy play. From the water, you can stretch out on cushioned, weathered wood pool beds partially covered by large umbrellas on the poolside wooden deck.
The Living Space
Under the Tampung Sari or middle arch of the main Joglo pavilion is the living area with its large couch, classic European as well as woven wood chairs. Here, you can all get together for engaging conversation. There are two dining areas. One – with a carved timber wood table – is at a corner of the main Joglo pavilion. The other – with its timber wood table that accommodates ten – is at the villa’s dining pavilion. At any of these dining areas, you can all indulge in authentic local specialties – as well as Western staples – masterfully prepared by the in-house chef at the villa’s main kitchen which is in this same pavilion. Although the main Joglo pavilion also has a modern guest kitchen with a long counter which serves as a bar for meals, snacks, coffee and all kinds of drinks. At one end of the 18-meter swimming pool is a billiards pavilion where cocktail and barbecue pool parties as well as game nights can begin. There are also two media rooms – one is on the second floor of the dining pavilion, and the other is in the master Joglo pavilion – where you can all await the next episode of the newest hit series. Or, go on a marathon of your can’t-get-enough-of movies. The villa also has a spacious yoga bale where you can do your exercises, poses and stretches.
The villa has seven air-conditioned bedrooms. In an individual Joglo pavilion, the master bedroom has a four-post, draped, king-sized bed, a dedicated, semi-open bathroom with an outdoor, sunken bathtub, as well as a 12-meter infinity pool. Connected to the master Joglo pavilion is a Gladak house where one of the guest rooms is arranged. This bedroom has a queen-sized bed as well as a dedicated bathroom with a volcanic stone bathtub and a rain shower. In a detached Gladak house is another guest room with a single bed, as well as a dedicated bathroom with a rain shower. Two other guest rooms – called Siwa and Ganesha – are in a two-storey pavilion. Both bedrooms have four-post, draped, king-sized beds, as well as dedicated bathrooms with free-standing bathtubs and rain showers. Two more guest rooms – named Wisnu and Brahma – are in a separate pavilion. Both bedrooms also have four-post, king-sized beds, as well as dedicated, semi-open bathrooms with round, free-standing bathtubs.
Staff And Services
Tasked to render the regular services of the villa is a helpful, well-trained staff led by a manager supported by a pool attendant, a gardener as well as by housekeepers and security personnel. Aside from the chef, a babysitter, a driver, a laundry helper and a spa therapist may be called in upon your request. However, their services come with a separate charge. Bike and car rentals are also available.
